ABOUT THE AUTHOR

It should come as no surprise the author of Blood Sapphire’s Revenge has lived a life of adventure, spirituality, advanced study and worldly exposure himself. How else could he layer a story this full of “just crazy enough to be real” circumstances, happenstances, intrigue, fate and heart?

The Army brat of an Area 51 Lieutenant Colonel veterinarian and atomic bomb nuclear physicist, Bruce had traveled throughout the United Sttes and South America by age 14. He enlisted in the US Air Force in 1971, earned his MD degree from the Oregon Health and Sciences University and trained in ICU surgical trauma. Bruce practiced ER medicine and co-led missionary teams into the war torn regions of El Salvador. He also studied philosophical theology earning an MA in Theology.

Bruce remains a thrill-seeker to this day when he’s not busy writing. He has climbed Mt. Rainier, hiked the Western United States, rafted the Colorado River, climbed the Via Ferrata in the Italian Dolomites, scaled Mt. Kilimanjaro, toured the Serengeti plains, and traversed the world on Cunard’s Queen Victoria. He lived and studied in Israel, toured Europe, hiked Ireland’s famed 133-mile Kerry War and Scotland’s 90-mile West Highland Way, ski raced, plummeted down the wild powder of Alta and Snowbird and sky-dived over Hawaii.

Bruce is father to three, step-father to four, and proud grandfather to eight wonderful grandchildren. He lives in the Appalachian mountains of North Georgia with his wife, Ellen.
